Apple Hardware Rumors Galore!

The Apple rumors just keep piling up. Slated for release within a few months is:

  • 8-core Mac Pros with a smaller case, better cooling, a blu-ray burner, and 1 GB VRAM

  • Black 24" iMacs

  • 50" Apple displays and all Apple displays to support HDMI/HDCP

  • 15" Macbooks

  • Macbook Nano with a Solid State Drive and no disc drive

  • Flash-Based iPod videos

So the only computers that aren't rumored to be upgraded are the Macbook Pro, Mac Mini(which is definately due for an update), and the Xserve(Which no consumers really care about anyways). BRING IT ON APPLE, BRING IT ON!

New iMacs and Mac Pros Rumored

According to MacScoop, Apple will release an 8-Core Mac Pro(no word yet on whether it will be the smaller design with vents on top), and a black 24" iMac. I'm so excited that I could just eat popcorn and post blog entries while wearing only boxers. Oh wait...I'm already doing that.

Next Gen Mac Pros' to Have 1 GB of VRAM

According to AppleInsider, the next generation Mac Pros will have the option privilege pleasure to adorn the ATI X2800XT. This card has 1 GB of GDDR4 memory and runs at a speedy 2 GHz. Also, it has CrossFire technology, so you can have multiple X2800XTs in your beast.

Amazing New One-Way Mirror iPod Case

The "Griffin Reflect" is made of a hardened plastic from with a chrome finish(mimicing the iPods backing) and a rubber back. When the backlight on the screen is off, it is solid chrome, when it is on, you can see through the plastic. Genius! And it's priced at just 24.99 here. This is by far the best iPod case I have ever seen!

Leopard Pouncing into Stores Early?

The techies at T3 predict that Apple will release the long awaited Leopard OS as soon as March. Also, they say that updated versions of iWork and iLife will be released. This may sound pathetic, but I can't wait until they come out with the OS after Leopard. What would they call it though, I mean, would it be another cat? I think they need a new animal. Mac OS Mountain Goat....Mac OS Cheeta...I better just leave it up to the marketing specialists.

iPod Video Due for an Update!

Its been a while since Apple came out with a new iPod Video(unless you consider the 5.1G to be a new one). I'm talking about a full blown upgrade. Maybe with some iPhone features. So what do you think? Answer in the comments.

A New Mac Pro on the Horizon?

According to an anonymous source, the Mac Pro will get a facelift and have its stomach stapled. By that, I mean it will get skinnier, have its hardware messed with, and be redesigned externally. This rumored Mac Pro will have vents on top to allow hot air to escape, it will be smaller, and it will rip holes right through the universe at the push of a button(I just made that last part up...its actually a couple of buttons that you have to press). Will it arrive at WWDC? Is it the "Mac Pro/Power Mac Mini" that people have been talking about years? Will it be equipt with Blu-Ray support? Let us pray.

No Videos for The Next 2 Weeks

Sorry, I won't be able to post videos for about the next 2 weeks because I sold my Macbook to upgrade to the Macbook Pro. I'm hoping that I will get it within 2 weeks. I will, however, be able to add new posts, just no videos. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A Real Macbook Nano to Arrive at WWDC?

Rumor has it that at WWDC, Apple will re-enter the sub-notebook business by releasing a new notebook that is apparently smaller than the 12" Powerbook. This notebook(I'll just call it the Macbook Nano), will feature a SSD, instead of a HDD to consume less power and space. Also, it may not even have an internal disc drive. Maybe that will just be an excuse you can use to buy an external Blu-Ray drive ;) . This Macbook Nano is aimed towards the Japanese market(they like everything small over there...), where Apple isn't doing too hot with sales.

iPhone Dock "Pics"...if you will

This picture below is a beautiful drawing by an Apple Employee that explains what the iPhone docking station will look like. The reason for the crudeness of the drawing and the lack of an actual picture are do to the shit that this "artist" would be in if Apple found out an actual picture was leaked.
